Codexa Software is not a registered VAT vendor. The rand region pays in ZAR through PayFast. Everywhere else pays in USD through Paddle, which is the seller on those sales.

2. Return and refunds policy

Draftworks is digital software delivered by email and download. These rules are for cardholders and for PayFast and Paddle.

Free trial

The 7-day Studio trial is free. No payment is taken. There is nothing to refund. When the trial ends the file stays open view-only.

Non-delivery or failed activation

If we do not deliver a paid key within 24 hours of confirmed payment, or the key cannot be activated because of a fault on our side, you are entitled to a full refund of that order. Contact us within 14 days of payment. We refund within 30 days of approving the claim, through PayFast or Paddle where that processor allows.

Change of mind

Once a paid key has been emailed and the download made available, change-of-mind refunds are not offered, except where the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 gives you a right we cannot exclude. If that right applies, we will honour it.

If you cancel a monthly plan before the first renewal and you have not used the software beyond a short look, you may email us for a goodwill review. We decide those one by one.

Monthly renewals

A monthly renewal is refundable only if:

• you cancel and ask within 7 days of the renewal charge, and
• you have not kept using the software in a real way after that renewal, and
• PayFast or Paddle can reverse that charge.

Otherwise cancel before the next renewal. We do not split unused days on a monthly plan unless the law requires it or we agree in writing. Yearly is bought once and does not renew, so this renewal rule does not apply to it.

Defective software

If Draftworks is unfit for ordinary Windows drafting because of a defect we can reproduce, and we cannot fix it or give a reasonable workaround in a reasonable time, you may ask for a refund or credit for the current paid period. Native DWG not being in yet, and the architecture layer not being full BIM, are stated on the site and are not, by themselves, a defect.

Chargebacks

Email us before a chargeback. An unwarranted chargeback may end the licence. A refund will not exceed the original amount and goes back through PayFast or Paddle.

How to ask

Email dave@codexaholdings.com with the subject “Refund request”, your name, email, layer, payment date, amount, PayFast or Paddle reference, and the reason. We aim to answer within 5 business days.

3. Cancellation and renewals

• Monthly plans renew until you cancel. Yearly is bought once. You keep that version. It does not renew.
• Cancel a monthly plan from the link in your receipt, or by emailing dave@codexaholdings.com before the renewal date.
• Cancellation stops future monthly charges. Access continues until the end of the time already paid, unless we end it for breach.
• We may change the monthly price at renewal and will say so by email or on the site when we can. If you do not accept the new price, cancel before renewal.

4. Law and contact

These terms use the law of the Republic of South Africa. South African courts have jurisdiction, without cutting rights you cannot sign away where you live.
